The Chase County Old School Development District has various fundraisers on the community calendar over the next several months.
The list of activities kicks off Saturday with the second annual Bunny Hop run and walk. The event will include a 1K, 5K and Easter egg hunt.
Proceeds from the Bunny Hop will go to support renovations to the Chase County Community Building.
The Bunny Hop will be held at the former Chase County School building at 401 Maple Street in Cottonwood Falls beginning at 8:45 am with registration. The fun run and walk is just one of three events the group has in April.
On Apr. 14 the community is invited to a “pitch party” beginning at 7 pm, followed by a 3-on-3 basketball tournament the next day, Apr. 15, from 9 am to 3 pm.
Lee Anne Coester of the Old School Development District says in addition to the slew of events on the calendar, April will also be significant as the district is hoping it will have word back on grant funding related to a significant renovation project.
The Cottonwood Falls City Council approved the renovation project last fall.
