As the weather turns from winter to spring, organizers of the Emporia Farmer’s Market are chomping at the bit for the start of the regular outdoor season in May.
The first outdoor market will be held Saturday, May 6 and will have a new start time following the market’s annual meeting this past Saturday according to Market Director Trisha Fullerton.
Fullerton adds with the weather becoming more conducive to being outdoors, she and their many vendors cannot wait until the outdoor market season gets underway.
The start of the outdoor season in May will mark 41 years of the market’s existence in the local community. Until then, the indoor market season continues every first and third Saturday of the month from 10 am to noon at Waters Hardware. For more information find the Emporia Farmers Market on Facebook.
