The Emporia State men’s basketball team is losing two players to the transfer portal.
Mayuom Buom has announced on Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-10 post player from Lincoln, Nebraska played in all 32 games and started 22 games. He averaged 7 points and 3 rebounds a game.
Kabeya Tshibangu, a 6-10 redshirt freshman from Justin, Texas, has also announced on Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining. He played in 12 games this past season.
The Emporia State men finished the season with a 23-9 record. They were 15-7 in the MIAA. They won the first-ever NCAA Tournament game advancing to the 2nd round of the Tournament.
They are still set to return 4 starters from this past season’s team.
