A Lyndon woman was taken to a Kansas City hospital after her pickup collided with a semi Tuesday evening.
The crash happened on the Kansas Turnpike about four miles east of Lawrence shortly after 7 pm. For currently unlisted reasons, the pickup — driven by 54-year-old Christi Christensen of Lyndon — rear-ended the back of a semi trailer driven by 55-year-old Charles Coggin of Dayton, Ohio. Christensen’s pickup went off the highway, through a ditch and up a hill before hitting a right-of-way fence.
Christensen was taken to KU Med in Kansas City, Kansas, with suspected minor injuries. Coggin was not hurt.
