Osage County authorities have released information about a crash that closed down US Highway 75 northwest of Melvern for a time Tuesday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Lyndon resident Erin de Silva was southbound on US-75 when she crossed the center line just south of 285th, or about vive miles northwest of Melvern. De Silva’s car then hit the trailer of a northbound semi driven by 28-year-old Ahmad Salti of Topeka.
De Silva was taken to an unlisted Topeka hospital with apparently non-life-threatening injuries. Salti was not hurt.
