Emporia Police are investigating an apparent injury crash involving a bicycle and another vehicle.
The early indications are the cyclist, a currently unnamed male, was hurt while traveling on West 18th after 9 am. The cyclist pedaled to the Maplewood Memorial Lawn cemetery office, which is where Emporia Police and Emporia Fire/EMS responded.
The cyclist was eventually taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the second vehicle and the driver — and the approximate location of the apparent crash — have not been determined.
