The Emporia State softball team split a doubleheader with Northwest Missouri State Friday.
Emporia State won the first game 5-2. A 4 run 6th inning was the difference. Roni Rains led the offense going 2 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI and a run scored.
Gracie Rabe was the winning pitcher.
Northwest won the 2nd game 11-1. The Bearcats scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and added 5 runs in the 4th inning to secure the win.
Emporia State plays at Missouri Western Saturday afternoon.
