Members of the community had fun participating in the second annual Night Hunt fundraiser organized by Emporia State University A Capella Choir Saturday night.
The hunt had over 1400 eggs distributed in Peter Pan Park and 24 of them contained winner tickets for prizes like a disc golf equipment bag, gift cards from local businesses and more.
Emporia State Univeristy Interim Choral Director Dr. Joshua Donaldson says the community was very interested in the event as more people signed up in comparison to last year’s egg hunt.
The funds will be used to support the A Cappella Choir’s travel to Washington D.C. to participate in the 60th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I Have A Dream speech.
ESU A Capella Choir President and senior Music Education major Cole Wagner says the travel to Washington D.C. is a great experience for the choir as they will perform twice and participate in other important activities.
The totals of the fundraising are still pending.
