Two railroad crossings near Emporia have been closed Sunday.
RoadSafe Traffic has informed Lyon County Emergency Communications about closures currently underway at Roads F and G, just west of Emporia. The timetable for reopening the crossings has not been announced.
This comes as several crossings will be closed in central and east Emporia. Crossings at Weaver, Carter, Peyton and East should be finished soon. Crossings at Merchant and Constitution may take two to three weeks to complete because of high-speed track resurfacing work.
