Rogers State defeated the Emporia State baseball team 12-3 Sunday to take the 3-game series 2 games to 1.
Rogers State scored 2 runs in the first, added 4 runs in the second, and 3 runs in the 4th to put the game out of reach.
Emporia State scored 3 runs on 10 hits and stranded 7 base runners. They also hit into 4 double plays.
Emporia State Coach Seth Wheeler said it was not a good day for the Hornets.
The Hornets fall to 13-21 for the season and 8-12 in the MIAA.
They are scheduled to play at William Jewell on Tuesday.
