The Emporia State baseball team outscored William Jewell 9-6 Tuesday.
The Hornets scored a run in the 1st inning, Kadyn Williams scoring on a TJ Racherbaumer sacrifice fly.
Kadyn Williams hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning. It was the first of 4 home runs hit by the Hornets.
Jake Bucovetsky and Quinton Carlberg hit back-to-back home runs in the 4th inning.
Brenden Tauber hit a home run in the 8th inning.
Carson Cornelius earned his first win of the season and Ian Lanik picked up his first save of the season.
The Hornets improve to 14-21.
They are slated to play a 3 game series at Newman beginning Thursday.
