Denim and Diamonds is adding a new fundraiser to benefit from its cause.
Denim and Diamonds will be holding its inaugural golf tournament to be held May 5 at Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
On KVOE’s Morning Show Thursday, Newman Regional Health Events Coordinator Michelle Margeson says doing a golf tournament could attract more people to participate.
Upcoming events for Denim and Diamonds include its 14th annual barbeque lunch scheduled for May 11.
There will also be a cornhole tournament taking place sometime in June. Everything leads up to its signature event and biggest fundraiser on Aug. 4.
Margeson says the funds from its event occurring in August will go towards buying a new stereotactic mammogram device.
