Two Emporia State Lady Hornet standouts will be inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame this summer.
Cassondra Boston Richards and Brittney Miller Pitts will join six other former student-athletes, a coach, an official and a former MIAA Commissioner in this year’s class.
Both were on Emporia State’s 2010 Women’s Basketball National Championship team. Both earned Elite Eight All-Tournament team honors that year.
Boston Richards was an All-American point guard for the Lady Hornets, while Miller Pitts was a forward. Miller Pitts also earned All-American honors as an outside hitter on the Emporia State volleyball team.
The two Lady Hornets will be honored on June 6 in Kansas City.
