Two events have their participation deadline approaching this Friday for members of the community who want to support a good cause or learn more about employment opportunities in Kansas.
Members of the community will be able to enjoy fine dining at the historic barn prepared by Radius Chef Justin “Gus” Bays and participate in an auction for different items like a trip to Colorado, a personalized Radius beer and more all organized by Pioneer Bluffss.
Pioneer Bluffs Executive Director Lynn Smith says this is a fundraiser that will support Pioneer Bluffs community programs and she motivates members of the community to participate.
The deadline to sign up for the event is April 7 and tickets are $150. The fundraiser event will take place on April 15 at 5 p.m. in the Pioneer Bluffs Ranch Main Barn.
Emporia will also have a different event for young members of the community who will be able to learn more about employment opportunities in Kansas.
The Kansas Youth Empowerment Success Summit and 2nd Annual Jobstravaganza organized by Southeast Kansas Works will offer a talk from entrepreneurs of the Emporia community, an employee panel to learn more about the healthcare industry and 41 employers with job opportunities.
Southeast Kansas Works Assistant Executive Director Katie Givens says it is important for them to support and give resources to young adults to find jobs in Kansas.
The deadline to sign up for the event is April 7. The KEYS Summit and Jobstravaganza will take place April 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anderson Building in the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
