The Hornets scored their run in the 1st inning, Kadyn Williams scored on a Noah Geekie double. Newman scored both of their runs in the 4th inning.
Newman wins the series 2 games to 1.
Emporia State is now 15-23 for the season and 9-14 in the MIAA.
