Potential jury trial dates are now on the Lyon County docket in a contraband trafficking case.
Brian L Smith is charged with one count of possessing marijuana while in the Lyon County Jail as part of an alleged incident in mid-January. He has a separate possession charge connected to a prior possession conviction nine years ago in Cowley County.
As part of a hearing this month, Smith was set for potential trial start dates of May 22, June 20 or July 10. A status hearing May 17 could well finalize one of these trial settings.
