Abundant sunshine and clear skies made for the perfect background as hundreds pulled into the Lyon County Fairgrounds for the annual Messiah Lutheran Church Easter Drive-In service.
Residents were able to take part in the singing of hymns, a time of prayer and enjoy a special Easter message shared by Pastor Eddie Hosch all from the comfort of their vehicles. Pastor Hosch spoke on the subject of resurrection saying it is not only for those who have “died an early death.”
Pastor Hosch would follow his words with an important question.
In addition to sharing in a time of worship with the local community, the church also took a special collection of non-perishable food items to support the Salvation Army of Emporia. Donation totals are currently pending.
As in years past, the service was broadcast in its entirety on KVOE 1400 AM, 96.9 FM and KVOE.com.
