A housing development in Cottonwood Falls is receiving $1 million in funding through the Kansas Housing Corporation.
Frontier Development Group is receiving $650,000 in Moderate Income Housing funds and another $350,000 in Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit funding. This will help to renovate 10 living units, according to the Housing Corporation. Plan details are pending.
These programs, along with the MIH-American Rescue Plan Act funding stream, help to develop or renovate spaces for affordable housing in the state’s rural areas. All told, nearly $20 million in funds for housing projects was announced.
