The Emporia Pavillions is continuing to expand with a number of nationally known names recently announcing commitments to the development with other brands currently considering laying down roots in the community.
Emporia Special Projects Coordinator Jim Witt recently contacted KVOE News to announce three national retailers, and one local business, have made contractual commitments to the development in West Emporia.
Witt says it may be the first quarter of 2024 before these businesses open their doors. In addition to Five-Below, Ulta and Old Navy, Witt says a currently undisclosed local retailer is planning to relocate to the Pavillions and the development could see its first commitment from a food service chain in the coming months.
Chick-Fil-A has been in Emporia on multiple occasions over the past few months scouting a potential site in the Pavillions, however, no formal commitment from the restaurant has been announced. City Manager Trey Cocking says they are very excited about the new additions as they will continue to enhance the shopping experience for both residents and visitors alike.
The new additions will be the third phase of the development and will follow the additions of Marshall’s, Ross Dress for Less and Shoe Department which all opened over the past six months.
