Isolated strong storm activity developed Monday, although the modest number of reports did not reach severe limits.
Dime-sized hail was reported in Burlington, with dime- to penny-sized hail outside Hamilton, Climax and Severy.
Areas southwest of Olpe got up to 1.4 inches of rain from storms that slowly drifted to the east during the mid- to late afternoon hours. Between Olpe and Hartford got 1.26 inches. Other totals were far less significant.

Storms don’t return to the forecast until Friday. Between now and then, the fire danger will increase rapidly with temperatures in the 80s and winds gusts at times between 25-40 mph. Outdoor burning will be strongly discouraged.
