Another incumbent has filed for re-election.
Gene Windle filed paperwork Monday to be re-elected to USD 252 Southern Lyon County Position 1. He is currently unopposed.
Windle is now on the ballot alongside Position 5 incumbent and current Board President Emily Darbyshire and Position 7 incumbent Charles Steffes. Justin Farr is running for Position 4, currently held by Kevin Flott — who has not filed for re-election.
Elsewhere on the Lyon County ballot, USD 253 incumbent Jeremy Dorsey and Americus City Council member Nicolette Nuessen have both filed for re-election to their respective seats. Both are currently unopposed.
The 2023 election cycle involves school boards, city councils, city commissions and mayors. If enough candidates file for election by noon June 1, there will be a primary Aug. 1.
