A suspect in a Lyon County drug distribution and contraband trafficking case has a hearing Wednesday.
Maurice De’Sean Evans has a preliminary hearing at 1:30 pm.
Evans is accused of distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine during an alleged incident in early March. He is also accused of bringing a clear plastic bag with a crystallized substance and/or a cigarette into an unspecified correctional or care facility, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia.
Separately, a woman accused of several aggravated violations of the state’s offender registration act has a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Amy Renee Meyers is accused of four separate violations between January 2021 and January 2022 after an indecent liberties conviction in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in a 2016 case. The hearing is at 2:30 pm.
