Emporia State tied the game at 8 in the top of the 8th inning on a Mason Sturdy 3-run home run. Sturdy also hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning that tied the game at 1. Kadyn Williams hit a 3-run home run in the 5th inning to give Emporia State a 5-4 lead.
Pittsburg State hit 4 home runs including a grand slam in the 8th inning.
Emporia State begins a 3-game series at Washburn Friday night.
