The Emporia State women’s tennis team defeated Rockhurst 4-0 Tuesday. The Lady Hornets won at 2 and 3 doubles to earn the doubles point.
In singles play, Alexia Desmet won at 1 singles, Karen Santiago won at 2 singles and Angelina Gnezdilova won at 3 singles.
Rockhurst won the men’s duel 6-0. Rockhurst won all 3 doubles matches for the doubles point. Rockhurst also won at 1, 2, 3, and 4 singles with three of the singles matches going to 3 sets.
The Emporia State women are down to their final 2 matches.
They will host Northeastern State Friday and Central Oklahoma Saturday.
The Emporia State men close out their season Sunday when they host William Jewell.
