Lyon County deputies are looking for somebody who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenager in Americus this week.
Deputy Eric Williams says authorities were called to the 300 block of Seventh around 3 pm Monday after a 14-year-old female said she was raped. The teenager says she was home alone and an unknown male, described as a middle-aged Hispanic man, used an unlocked back door to get inside the house. The teenager also says she saw a suspicious male driving a white or silver passenger car as she was walking shortly before the alleged incident.
The female was taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment.
Williams says there is currently no indication of any threat to the public as the investigation moves forward.
