The Emporia State football team will wrap up spring practices Saturday with the Spring scrimmage.
Emporia State Head Coach Garin Higgins says it has been a productive spring.
15 starters return from last year’s team that finished 9-3 and won the Live United Bowl.
Quarterback Braden Gleason is one of the returnees. He says his focus this spring has been on fine-tuning all aspects of his play.
Defensive lineman Jordan Williams is also a returnee.
Saturday’s scrimmage begins with a Legends game at 2 pm.
The current Hornets will take the field at 3 pm.
There will also be an unveiling of the Steve Henry Award plaque.
Last season’s seniors will also receive their Live United Bowl Championship rings.
