Safe to say this year’s March Madness lived up to the name with upset after upset. One person who wasn’t upset, however, was Erin Lewis, the winner of KVOE’s Beat the Bracket Challenge.
Lewis’s mother Shelley Lewis made a trip to Triad leasing Friday afternoon to pick up the winnings, a recliner from Triad and a year of light-duty auto oil changes from Blackcreek Diesel & Automotive. Shelley Lewis says it was a crazy year so it took a team effort to come out with the win.
David Jennings of Triad says they love putting on this promotion with KVOE each year. He says its just another way they can be active in the community and grow their own clientele at the same time.
The final standings were extremely close with Erin Lewis winning by just two points. Lewis finished with 95 points, Tom Walters finished in second with 93 points and Debbie Redding claimed third place finishing with 92 points.
For coming in second Walters claimed $300 while Redding earned $100 from Emporia State Federal Credit Union.
