Wages and funding will take up most of the Emporia Recreation Commission’s agenda for its board meeting Monday.
Following approval of $94,000 in city funds to operate the Jones Aquatic Center this upcoming season, the Rec Commission board could do likewise Monday. The approved total is double last year’s amount and comes after Rec Commission management said it wanted to increase wages for lifeguards and aquatics managers.
In related business, board members could approve the Aquatic Center management agreement.
Separately, the board could approve a bid for leasing vehicles. There will be more discussions about the Future Funding Task Force, including the selection of members.
The meeting begins at 5:30 pm Monday at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
