The Emporia High baseball team went 0-2 at the McPherson Quad Tuesday.
Emporia High opened the quad with an 8-0 loss to Rose Hill. McPherson defeated the Spartans 8-0 in the consolation game.
Against Rose Hill, Emporia High was held to just three hits. The Rockets scored a run in the third, two in the fourth, and five in the sixth.
Against McPherson, the Bullpups scored one in the first, three in the second, and two each in the fourth and sixth innings. Emporia High had seven hits, just like McPherson, but committed six errors.
Owen Ruge went 2-for-2 at the plate.
Emporia High is now 0-12 on the season. They’ll travel to Manhattan on Friday.
