The Emporia State softball team swept a doubleheader from Newman Tuesday.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 8-0 behind the pitching of Gracie Rabe who tossed a 6 inning 2 hit shut out.
Bailey Flewelling led the offense going 2 for 3 with 4 RBI.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 5-2. Bailey Flewelling was the only player with 2 hits in game two.
Josie Harrison was the winning pitcher.
Coach April Rosales said they were two good team wins.
The Lady Hornets improve to 31-17 for the season and 11-9 in the MIAA.
They are scheduled to play at Rogers State, the defending National Champions, on Friday.
