Storms appear likely Wednesday evening into early Thursday, and some could be severe.
The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk areawide for the evening and early overnight hours. TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says there is still some variance in the forecast models as of early Wednesday, but —
All area counties are in wind advisories from 6 or 7 pm to 4 am, with gusts as high as 50 mph expected.
Meyers says a tornado can’t be discounted. Scattered heavy rainfall is also possible.
Once showers and storms leave the area, Thursday will be a sunny, breezy and sharply cooler day. Wednesday’s high will be around 80 degrees. Thursday’s high will be 69 — and we could see overnight lows near or below the freezing mark Friday night and Saturday night.
