The Emporia State baseball team hosts Missouri Western in the first game of a 3-game series Friday evening.
These are must-win games if the Hornets want to keep their MIAA Tournament hopes alive.
They are currently in 9th place just a game back of both Newman and Rogers State.
One of the hot bats for the Hornets belongs to Patryk Hernandez who has hit 4 home runs and driven in 11 runs in the last 3 games.
The first pitch Friday is set for 6 pm at Glennen Field at the Trusler Sports Complex.
The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9.
