Several Lyon County fire departments have been dispatched to a grass fire reportedly encroaching on nearby houses.
The fire at 825 Road 310 was toned out at 4 pm. Initially, Americus was asked to respond. Allen-Admire, Emporia Rural, Miller and Reading were later dispatched as mutual aid.
