The Emporia State baseball outscored Missouri Western 6-4 Sunday avoiding a 3 game sweep.
The Hornets scored 3 runs in the 1st inning highlighted by a 2 run home run by T. J. Racherbaumer.
Gibrian Pena hit a 3 run home run in the 3rd inning to give the Hornets a 6-2 lead.
Ian Lanik was the winning pitcher and Will Hann earned his 3rd save.
The Hornets are 17-29 for the season and 11-19 in the MIAA. The will host Central Oklahoma to close out the regular season next Friday thru Sunday.
