US Highway 50 isn’t the only area highway with a significant resurfacing project ahead.
Kansas Highway 58 will have resurfacing from Madison to LeRoy, or better than 30 miles of highway, starting the week of May 8. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the project will follow surface recycling work followed by chip seal. The official work zone runs from just east of Kansas Highway 99 to US Highway 75, including both the US 75 junctions about six miles west of LeRoy. It also includes work on K-249 at Madison.
Work will take place during daylight hours in May and June, with traffic aided through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
Dustrol Inc of Towanda won the project with a $3 million bid.
