Drug-related charges are facing two men after an incident in Greenwood County earlier this month.
Ryan Lee Powell is charged with distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine, as well as possession of paraphernalia and two counts of interference with law enforcement. Michael Hatfield, meanwhile, is charged with drug and paraphernalia possession.
Both men have status hearings June 9.
Charges against both men follow what Greenwood County deputies call a “physical domestic altercation” on April 17. After people inside a residence refused to answer the door, deputies got a search warrant and arrested both men. Hatfield was later taken to the Sedgwick County Jail for two outstanding warrants.
Separately, a vehicle stop in Greenwood County earlier this month has translated to drug distribution charges for one man.
Greenwood County deputies say they conducted a traffic stop April 14, leading to the arrest of Jimmy Wayne Beeman. He has now been charged with distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine, as well as possessing paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and defacing ID marks on a firearm.
Beeman’s first appearance is May 2.
