The Emporia High boys golf team finished sixth at the Firekeeper Open Tuesday.
Emporia High shot a 317, finishing two strokes behind fifth place Lawrence Free State. The Spartans finished 25 strokes behind team champion Shawnee Mission East who shot a 292.
Individually, Hudson Sauder led Emporia High finishing in a tie for 18th with a 77. Caden Massey finished in a tie for 23rd with a 78. Nolan Jacob and Will Walker finished in a tie for 29th with an 81.
Up next for the Emporia High boys golf team is the Centennial League Tournament on Monday. The Centennial League Tournament will be played at Lake Shawnee Golf Course.
