Lyon County commissioners will discuss health, elections and hazardous waste matters at their action meeting Thursday morning.
Health matters will take place near the end of the meeting as Lyon County Health Officer Dr. Ladun Oyenuga presents the quarterly health report and CareArc Chief Executive Officer Renee Hively presents the agency’s quarterly report.
Separately, County Clerk Tammy Vopat will present a better than $54,000 invoice from Elections Systems & Software for annual service and maintenance. Amy Welch of Noxious Weed will discuss state restrictions on household hazardous waste facilities, including the one in Emporia, for accepting business waste. County Engineer Chip Woods will review a better than $250,000 quote from APAC-Kansas to put a 2-inch pavement overlay on Road 170 from Kansas Highway 170 east to Old Highway 50.
Besides those points of business, three executive sessions are on the agenda.
The meeting starts at 9 am Thursday at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
