Two Michigan residents await decisions on criminal charges after an arrest in Chase County on Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy did a traffic stop on US Highway 50 in Strong City after noting a speeding vehicle. Two arrests were made after methamphetamine, marijuana and a “large amount” of cash were found.
Benjamin Conley, age 26 of Lansing, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, possession of drug sale proceeds, interference with law enforcement and being a fugitive from justice. Conley was listed as absconding from Michigan Department of Corrections in January.
Conley was also held on a Michigan warrant for suspected kidnapping. Details about that situation are pending.
Margaret Jo Ducsat, age 25 of Holt, was arrested on similar charges as well as speeding.
