The Emporia State track and field teams had 4 top 3 finishes and 4 provisional qualifiers for nationals at the KU-hosted Rock Chalk Challenge.
Travis Morrison finished in 2nd place with a personal best mark and provisional mark in the shot put. His mark of 61 feet 4 and .75 inches is the third-best in school history.
Brooks Lowe finished in second place with a provisional throw in the javelin.
The men’s 4 by 400 relay team of Guy Ramos, Julin Johnson, Brock Merz, and Jack Watson finished in 3rd place.
Brock Merz finished in 4th place with a provisional time in the 400 hurdles.
Alyssa Conway finished in 5th place with a provisional throw in the hammer throw.
Up next for the Emporia State Track and Field teams will be the MIAA Championships beginning Friday hosted by Lincoln.
