The Emporia State baseball team closed out the season with a 7-6 win over Central Oklahoma Sunday.
On senior day Senior Noah Geekie had a day to remember.
He was the winning pitcher going 8 innings throwing 145 pitches giving up 5 runs on 12 hits, 7 strikeouts, and 1 walk.
He was also 2 for 5 at the plate with a solo home run and 2 runs scored.
The Emporia State offense came to life in the 3rd inning scoring 6 runs. Catcher T.J. Racherbaumer hit a 3-run home run to highlight the inning.
With the win, the Emporia State baseball team ends the season with an 18-31 record. they were 12-21 in the MIAA.
