The United Way of the Flint Hills is ready to celebrate a year’s worth of hard work Wednesday.
The annual United Way Campaign Celebration will begin at noon in the Bowyer Community Building. In addition to the presentation of the community impact award to a community partner and the spirit award to KVOE, remarks from United Way Board President Julie Cooper and the announcement of the final fundraising total, this year’s celebration will have an extra special announcement as well.
United Way Executive Director Mickey Edwards had more on that announcement during KVOE’s Morning Show Tuesday.
In addition to funds raised over the course of the campaign, Edwards says campaign co-chairs Scott and Lisa Hayes also put a great spotlight on the United Way as a whole.
All proceeds for this year’s campaign will support over 20 community partners in eight area counties. For more information, or if you want to donate to the campaign, log on to UWFH.org.
