Four members of the Emporia State baseball team earned All-MIAA honors Thursday.
Noah Geekie, Ian Lanik, and Kadyn Williams are honorable mention selections. Palmer Hutchison was named to the gold glove team.
Geekie was honorable mention as a pitcher and an outfielder. As a pitcher, Geekie went 6-4 and had an ERA of 5.70, and had 67 strikeouts. His 67 strikeouts ranked seventh in the MIAA. He pitched a team-high 77.1 innings which was good for second in the MIAA.
At the plate, Geekie had a .360 average, .976 OPS, seven doubles, three triples, four home runs, and 25 RBIs.
Lanik was honorable mention as a pitcher. He pitched two complete games, had five wins, a save, and an ERA of 5.10 in 67 innings pitched. He had 43 strikeouts and allowed opponents to have a batting average of .263.
Kadyn Williams is an honorable mention as a second baseman. He had a .278 batting average, a .387 on-base percentage. Williams had seven doubles, three triples, eight home runs, and 43 RBIs. His 18 extra-base hits and 43 RBIs were team highs for the Hornets.
Hutchison played 45 games at third base and tallied 64 assists.
Emporia State finished its season with an 18-31 record and a 12-21 mark in MIAA play.
