Pretrial and arraignment is next for a woman accused in Lyon County District Court of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
Following a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Eloisa Alvino was set for the pretrial at 2 pm June 16 before Judge Laura Miser.
Alvino is accused of trying to strangle Josaphat Zeferino Cruz-Perez during an altercation March 2. That count has an alternate of aggravated domestic battery, and Alvino is also accused of aggravated witness intimidation and criminal threat.
Alvino is also accused of methamphetamine and paraphernalia possession in a separate case, which now also has a pretrial and arraignment hearing at 2 pm June 16.
Separately, a man accused of drug distribution in a Lyon County criminal case is tentatively set for his preliminary hearing Thursday.
Colin Thomas Krtek is charged with one count of distributing up to 100 “dosage units” of Ecstasy, as well as separate counts of possessing marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations following an alleged incident in early April.
Krtek’s hearing is set for 2:30 pm before Judge Laura Miser, although it may well be continued with a request from Krtek’s defense attorney, Monte Miller, for a new hearing date.
