The Emporia High boys tennis team’s season ended Friday at the Topeka West regional.
Mats Goerres was eliminated in a win-and-in match at No. 1 singles. He was defeated by Seun Akinwuntan of St. Thomas Aquinas, 6-4, 6-3.
The No. 1 doubles team of Jacob Simons and Carlos Bautista went 1-2 losing in the win-and-in match.
The No. 2 doubles team of Rylan Crowell and Mark Decker lost in the first round.
Joaquin Miranda’s day ended in the first round at No. 2 singles.
Emporia High finished in a tie for fourth in the team standings.
