The MIAA Outdoor Track and Field meet begins Friday with the Multi Events.
Emporia States Aren Trent has the 4th best score this season in the Decathlon.
Emporia State has athletes ranked in the top 5 in 9 other events.
Travis Morrison is seeded number 1 in the shot put. He is coming off a personal best effort of 61 feet 4.75 inches at last week’s Rock Chalk Classic.
Morrison will not compete until Sunday.
Brooks Lowe is seeded 3rd in the Javelin.
Brock Merz is seeded 4th in the 400 hurdles.
Also in the 400 hurdles Chase Rooney is seeded 6th, Davion Scott is seeded 7th and Jake Johnson is seeded 8th.
Asher Moen is ranked 6th in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
The 4 by 400 relay of Guy Ramos, Julian Johnson, Brock Merz, and Jack Watson is ranked 6th.
The 4 by 100 relay of Kingsley Bennett, Carter Cox, Jack Watson, and Isaac Tarango is ranked 6th.
For the Emporia State women Alyssa Conway is seeded 2nd in the Hammer Throw.
Megan McManis is seeded 5th in the Pole Vault.
Lincoln University is hosting this year’s MIAA Track and Field championship.
