A collision involving two motorcycles in El Dorado sent an Osage City man to a hospital Saturday evening.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at the intersection of Central and North High just after 7:30 pm. Both motorcycles were eastbound on Central when a third vehicle stopped to make a left turn. A motorcycle driven by 37-year-old Aaron Patrick Secrest of Osage City moved to avoid the other vehicle but was then hit from behind by a motorcycle driven by 60-year-old Jeffrey Durand of Humboldt.
Durand was not hurt, but Secrest was taken to Susan B Allen Hospital in El Dorado with suspected serious injuries. It’s unclear if either or both drivers were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
