One of two people arrested late last month after a traffic stop in Chase County now faces formal charges after the incident.
Benjamin Conley, age 26 of Lansing, Michigan, has been charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, as well as possessing marijuana and paraphernalia and interference with law enforcement.
Conley was charged after an incident on US Highway 50 in Strong City. Chase County deputies arrested Conley and Margaret Jo Ducsat of Holt, Michigan, after the vehicle in question was allegedly speeding. Authorities say they found meth, marijuana and “a large amount” of cash as part of a resulting search.
Formal charges against Ducsat have not posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal.
Conley was listed as absconding from Michingan Department of Corrections in January. Conley was also held on a Michigan warrant for suspected kidnapping. Details about that situation are pending.
