Emporia’s Goodwill is set to relocate later this year according to Goodwill Industries Kansas CEO Laura Ritterbush.
Ritterbush tells KVOE News the business will be moving from its longtime location at 904 E. 12th Ave. to the former Staples building at 2200 Industrial Road. Ritterbush believes the relocation will help increase both foot traffic and donations to the business.
Plans for the relocation have been in the works since last fall according to Ritterbush and could be partially complete by next month.
The relocation will increase the current space by roughly 3,000 square feet. Additionally, Ritterbush says there is potential, however, no concrete plans at this time to increase the number of store staff.
