One of the two defendants in an alleged burglary of the old Cedar Point Elementary School building is now awaiting sentencing after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Jacobsen Eells had been charged with burglary of a non-dwelling; misdemeanor theft; and possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia after an alleged incident in late January. Eells pleaded no contest to burglary of a non-dwelling and was set for sentencing at 1:30 pm June 12.
Eells’ co-defendant, Kathryn Culbert, has a pretrial conference July 3 on burglary, theft and drug possession charges.
Both were charged after allegedly breaking into the building and taking items from the property.
